Small group trip to Mongolia 06.07. - 13.07. 2010.

Naadam festival, Wild horses, Nomad family.

06.07. Flight Helsinki – Moscow at 09.25 – 12:05.  Flight from Moscow to Ulaanbaatar at 20:10.

07.07. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB), transfer to Gana’s Guest house. Accommodation in the ger. (3-4 pax sharing a ger).

08.07. Drive to Hustain Nuruu National preserve /120kms. Observation of Takhi, wild horses of Przevalski. Overnight stay in “Hustai” ger tourist  resort  for 2 nights, full board.

09.07. Trekking for 5 – 6 hours in neighbourhood. Overnight stay in ger of Hustai tourist camp.

10.07. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar . Accommodation in the ger. (3-4 pax sharing a ger).

11.07. Full day attend the Naadam festival: opening ceremony, wrestling, archery and horse racing. Naadam concert and Gala dinner. Accommodation in the ger. (3-4 pax sharing a ger).

12.07. Free day.

13.07. Transfer and departure by flight Ulaanbaata – Moscow at 07:35 - 15 and Moscow–Helsinki at 17:00 -18:00.

Playing golf on the Mongolian Steppes from April to October 2010.

Close to the Tiara Resort lie the only 2 golf courses of Mongolia; The Chinggis Khaan Golf Country Club and the  UB Golf Range. Without a doubt a unique experience to play these 18 holes surrounded by this stunning countryside.
Both holes are completely new and were opened in April 2007. The golf courses are open from mid April till November. Before and after this time, the ground is frozen and temperature can drop till minus 40 degrees C.  

The holes are situated amidst the spectacular Steppes and they are made of the fabric Greens. The fairways of UB Golf Range Club (20 km from the Tiara Resort) are rather primitive; the grass is thin and the ground is solid and rocky. It is of course an extra handicap, but it is definitely worthwhile. Spectacular holes, playing golf in the most beautiful and unspoiled countryside with bare, lonely mountains in the distance. Edelweiss is growing in the rough and eagles and falcons are circling the sky.

The Ghinggis Khaan Golf Country Club is located close to the Tiara Resort (1 km). Of the 2 clubs it is definitely the best one. The Korean investor is very ambitious and a lot of money is spend on maintenance. An example of this is the fact that the grass is kept green during the whole season. Especially in the beginning of the season the green grass of the golf course is in great contradiction with the brownish color of the surrounding Mongolian Steppes.
The course is a bit less spectacular, but that does not mean playing golf on this course is less fun. Of course it is not very busy on these golf courses but nevertheless you are being welcomed at the Chinggis course by at least 10 female caddies who are happy to accompany you on the course.
The costs of playing are low. Hiring a set of clubs (Calloway) and a caddy will cost about 60.000 Tugrik and that is incl. the green fee.

You can take a train from Helsinki to Ulaanbaatar three times a week: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday or flight via Beijing, Moscow or Berlin.

We provide tour to nomadic family in Terelj. There is a possibility to riding on Mongolian horse.
