The program consists of four parts. If desired, each part can be an individual tour. The tour gives interesting and valuable information about Tuva.

time, transfer to Kyzyl 400 km. Arrival to Kyzyl. Accommodation in a hotel. Lunch. Short excursion about the town depending on the arrival time.
06.09. After breakfast we will start at "The Center of Asia" which lies right on the shores of the
Yenisei
. Then we will visit to shaman clinic next to it. The shamans treat patients there. A short walk along the shore brings us to the Buddhist monastery, which we can visit. After a walk through the nearby park, visit the skilled workmen who make Tuvan national music instruments and shaman drums.
After lunch we will set of for the mineral spring Tos-Bulak (9 km.) and visit the monument "Herdsman" Later we will visit the yurt of real cattle breeder and see how they live. After dinner there is a chance to ride on a horse or a camel.
07.09. Today we will start our excursion with visiting the
Tuvan
Republic
Museum
. Then we will go to the Artists Society Centre. Then we visit
Museum
of
Throatsinging
. After lunch trip to the ancient rock carvings which are on the right bank of
Yenisei
river. Visit to nomads, where you can ride a horse, a camel.
08.09 Trip to the lake Tere-Khol which is situated on the zone of deserts in the south of the republic. On your way you can see camels. The camp will be pitched on the sandy beach of the lake. This area belongs to the Ubsunur Biosphere Reserve, which is considered to be the ecologically purest place in the world. The clean and dear air allows you to see even mountains in 200 km. distance!
The water of the lake is clean and warm.
09.09. Return to Kyzyl. After dinner throatsingers' concert.
10.09. Today you will travel to the tour base "Vasilyevka" about 130 km. east of Kyzyl. The base is situated in a forest area on the bank of the Small Yenisei. Accommodation in wooden huts. You can go fishing, ride in a motorboat or hike through nature. A real Russian Sauna will be waiting for you.
11.09. Visit the "Old Believer's" village. After seeing the taiga, steppe and desert this village represents huge contrast: The tourists find themselves in an absolutely other culture and way of life. Being cut off from the civilization the "Russian Old Believers" live in the forest. They are self providers having their own vegetable gardens, go hunting and fishing. Many families own very old church books from the 17th century. They live by the "Old Believers' rules" and some turn even the state pension down.

Return to Kyzyl.
12.09. Trip to the medicinal water spring - arzhaan Shivilig (400 km.). The 360 km. of your way along the asphalted road. On the way the guide will show the natural and historical monuments: the sacred
mountain
of
Tuvans
- Khaiyrakan where shamans hold rituals, charge with energy every year; stone monument of an ancient warrior called Chigis-Khan among the people; valley of ancient burial mounds - Khondeleng. You will get to know customs and traditions, even presenting a tribute of respect to the spirits of the spring.It is a picturesque place. It is possible to see the monuments of Turk period. Overnight in tents.
13.09. Hike over a small pass to the place Aldyy Azhyk (about 15 km.). It is a good horse path and on the top of the pass you will have a magnificent view over snow covered mountains. On their background next to a mountain rapid river you will see the yurtas of cattle-breeders. The further passage under the gradual declivity along the spacious beautiful place. You can see a lot of monuments, ancient burial-mounds, rock carvings, stone monuments, the track of ancient metallurgy. Also you can see yaks. Night in camps tents.
14.09. Here you can spend a day and accomplish an accent of the mountain Chailag-Mongulek (2700 m). No special equipment required. There are many legends about the mountain and it is considered to be the sacred
mountain
of
Kin
of Salchacs. There are four ancient burial mounds on the top of the mountain. Beautiful view of west Tuva.
15.09. Transfer to airport for flight Kyzyl –

. Transfer by local train from Domodedovo to
Moscow
with the tour leader. In the evening leave

for
Helsinki
by train Tolstoi at
